How FemCoin Offers Work

You're here to collaborate, share your skills, and earn what you're worth. FemCoins are how we make that happen, without exchanging real money. Here's how the FemCoin offer system works and why you sometimes see limits on what you can offer.

What are FemCoins?

FemCoins are the digital credits we use to exchange services on FemXchange. You earn FemCoins by offering your expertise. You spend FemCoins to receive services from others.

You start with 200 FemCoins when you join.

FemCoins don’t have real-world monetary value, but we anchor their worth to a reference point: 1 FC is approximately equal to 1 CAD. This keeps exchanges fair and consistent across the platform.

What are Service Categories?

Every service offered or request listed FemXchange must be placed into a Service Category, such as:

Business and Professional Services
Creative & Design Work
Health, Wellness & Personal Growth
Everyday Support & Lifestyle Services

Each category is associated with a FemCoin range that reflects real-world market averages for that type of work, combined with your selected time commitment.

This system keeps pricing consistent and fair, and helps ensure that the 1 FC = 1 CAD guideline stays in balance across the platform.

How Does the FemCoin Range Get Set?

When you offer or request a service, here’s how the FemCoin range is determined:

Choose a Service Category This defines the type of work involved, for example, copywriting vs. coaching.
Estimate Time Select the time commitment (for example, 1-2 hours or 3-6 hours).
View Suggested FemCoin Range Based on your category and time estimate, you’ll be shown a recommended FemCoin range, for example, 60-120 FC.
Select Your Offer Choose an exact amount within that range, as long as your FemCoin balance covers it.

This makes it easier for everyone to value their time and services while maintaining consistency across the platform.

Why Is There a Range at All?

FemXchange uses ranges to:

Keep pricing fair and accessible for all members
Prevent inflation or underpricing
Create trust and consistency in the exchange ecosystem

It’s not about limiting you. It’s about making sure everyone gets a fair deal, especially in a space built on mutual respect and collaboration.

Why Can’t I Offer More FemCoins?

If you’re seeing a cap on how many FemCoins you can offer, it’s because you don't have enough FemCoins in your account (you can view this in the navigation menu)

To adjust:

Revisit your estimated hours or category
Earn more FemCoins by offering your services to others in The Xchange

What About Flat Fee or Custom Projects?

Not every project fits neatly into an hourly format. For unique or larger-scope work, you can choose the Flat Fee or Custom Project category.

This option allows you to propose a FemCoin amount outside the usual ranges, but it’s meant for special cases only, not everyday use.

Using this option too often or in place of standard categories can throw off the balance of the FemCoin economy. We recommend choosing a time-based category whenever possible to help keep things fair for all members.
